In November 2009, a squadron of F-22 Raptors arrived in UAE to take part in an exercise, during which, the F-22s performed well, except for two occasions, so, what were those two occasions?

f22 pilot: "Ah ggs."
Everyone else: *No*

To people who don’t know they weren’t actually firing missiles. There’s a training computer in the aircraft to help simulate air combat. I’m sure most people know this, but I understand if you wouldn’t have.

The French after massive losses: WE GOT ONE WEEEE

Shows the top of the F22 has no fuel takes. But the top of no plane has fuel tanks, that's not where fuel tanks go.

People doesn't realize that in every exercise the F22 was handicapped one way or another. There's also an article where the F22 was defeated by a Philippine FA-50.

The US don't mind losing, they just wanted to learn and improve hence in every exercises, they always have a huge handicap.

Because of the rules of engagement in these training ops, there has to be a merge, so the F22 has lost it's utmost advantage...stealth.

Who is unaware that the F-22's are required to use radar transponders and aren't allowed to engage beyond visual range in all exercises with other aircraft? Exercises are meant as a challenge to US aircrews, and give advantage to their opponents.

What people don’t get is any plane can shoot down any plane. All it takes is one small mistake for something like a MIG29 to shoot down something like an F15. If the F15 pilot misreads the situation for a second that can lead to a loss of the aircraft and/or pilot. This is why Pilots are taught to never go to the merge if at all possible. They would rather have the aircraft and pilot back and refuel and rearm than having a 50% chance of the aircraft come back. Something like the F15 would cost roughly 50 million to replace and another 5-10 million to retrain a new pilot from scratch.

Ironically, in the 1990s RAAF Mirage IIIs got their assess handed to them by Malay pilots flying their (then) new Mig29s. As soon as the Mirages changed their tactics to high speed ingress and BVR shoot, then scoot, the Mig 29s couldn't touch them.

If an F22 is in a fog fight then something went wrong long before the dog fight started.

No fuel tanks were visible but the view you shown is the upper side of F22 😂

F22 is hands down the most advanced fighter in the world. That said, I never expected zero losses for its entire lifespan. However, that was purely training exhibition. Raptor still undefeated.... hell, it's technically unchallenged as it's never been in actual air to air combat.

So, how did the French aircraft get past the long range engagement capabilities of the F-22? This tells me the training engagement was initiated with parameters that purposefully eliminated the F-22's main combat engagement points such as engaging beyond visual range, stealth, and multi-platform integration/coordination. If the rules state that the combatants cannot engage until they are in visual range or have past each other, then this becomes more of a pilot versus pilot than an airframe versus airframe.

The f22 training record is still impressive

Closer and closer, F-22 can be visible to radar display bigger and bigger dot.
Stealth = low rcs doesnt mean it become completly "ghost" aircraft

I mean hey the f22 is a badass aircraft but nothing is invincible. I think this is perfectly acceptable

There's more context that they're not telling you. During these exercises they make rules on what pilots can or cant do. What equipment they can or cant use. They make up different scenarios that pit one aircrafts weaknesses against another aircrafts strengths.
