The only reason I know the F22 could not be involved in ground attacks is - well because of this channel when it was stated the F22 wasn't a ground support aircraft.

So you're telling me, they weren't able to take out any of the fourth gen non stealth fighters, but were able to shoot down a highly advanced fifth gen stealth fighter that is basically impossible to see on radar and probably has another multitude of different countermeasures on top of that in terms of being fired apon and it wasn't even there on the mission. Welp, twitter and facebook said it so I guess I'll have to take their word for it.

Remember, these are the same Houthi rebels who posted a video of their ManPad having its missile get juked by an F-15S and colliding with a flare as "F-15 gets shot down".

Despite the video clearly showing the F-15 continue to fly and it being confirmed to have successfully made it back home and landed with no damage.
