I've watched several videos elsewhere to learn how to tie this know. But I couldn't quite follow each step accurately and ended up with something else. This video is the clearest for me, and I got it correct the very first time :-)

You putting the rope on a flat surface, and pausing to ensure viewers know where they should be and where next to go, have been key to my grasping the steps.

Thanks, I have it now. For a simple knot there is a lot that can go wrong. I was tying it thinking that the initial loop would end up as the final loop which gave me some kind of sliding loop knot. There can also be some confusion after the rabbit has run around the tree since at that point he is faced with a total of four different holes but the video clarifies this.
