Instructions on how to tie a Bowline on a bight in this easy to follow tutorial. This rope knot makes a stong pair of loop knots in the middle of a rope. Can be uses in a modified version of the trucker's hitch or truckies hitch to gain an extra mechanical advantage. Used by arborists and tree climbers and also in sailing. Rock climbers, cavers and rope rescue personnel also use this knot as an anchor knot to create a Y hang to share the load between two anchors. Just what I thought I needed, but this won't tie around a closed rail or tree (where you can't loop over the end). Is there a good anchor knot for the middle of the rope that unties easily after load, that will work over a closed rail? Thanks for your channel BTW - love your approach and easy-to-follow shots.
