Macron defeats Le Pen in French election

By turning to Emmanuel Macron as its new president, France has elevated a new leader in the political battle between globalism and nationalism that is underway in Western democracies. CNN's Christiane Amanpour reports.

I am very srprised by lots of comments. There is no rapport between M. Macron and terrorism. I am sure that electing Lepen, the risk to have new attacks should be more important. This woman and the movement she belongs to is hateful toward foreigners and her politic program is a nonsense (the same as Trump´s one) We french do not want that. And about terrorism, you know that UK has real boundaries and a very conservative prime minister, bu it did not prevent this Country Who voted this stupid brexit to have an attack recently.
