Fixing larger holes would require a mesh to help spread the paste over the hole
Edit: guys, I get it. The point of the year was for paste and it's capabilities. If you didn't have flex tape a bridge is the first step. It could be a piece of paper for all anyone cares, as long as you bridge it. That is literally the essence of flex tape, his product poured on a bridging product ie: think the mesh in duck tape.

Bigger holes need a filler or Flex Tape. The same company has a line of flood sealers. Literally orange tape, paste, and spray that will make your house water tight. The tape is even made to come right off after the waters recede.

Flat surface with thin hole? Flex Paste
Flat surface with big hole? Flex Tape
Curved surface with thin hole? Flex Spray
Curved surface with big hole? Flex Tape
