spring in england: baking, books & being twenty something is hard

Broccoli Pasta Recipe/Method (in Georgie's words):
- boil Brocolli in a large pan of water
- ⁠chop and fry lots of garlic and fresh chilli in olive oil, be careful not to overcook and put to one side
- ⁠once Brocolli is quite soft, take out from the pan of water and place on chopping board, season with salt and chilli flakes and chop finely
- ⁠in the same pan of boiling water that you cooked the Brocolli in add the wholewheat Spagetti and cook until very Al dente (not quite cooked and still a bit firm)
- ⁠before draining pasta take a mug of pasta water out and add a veggie stock cube to it
- ⁠add al dente pasta to the chilli and garlic and olive oil, along with the Brocolli and spinach, add stock water, season to taste and cook until water absorbed and pasta cooked. I also sometimes add a squeeze of fresh lemon.
- ⁠add cheese to pasta and mix before serving, with extra cheese and chickpeas on top if you want them

Scone Recipe:
350g self-raising flour
1 tsp baking powder
85g vegan butter cut into cubes
3 tbsp sugar
175ml plant based milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
squeeze lemon juice
pb milk to glaze
jam and clotted cream to serve

It’s natural to feel the way you are at your age but don’t rush it…enjoy every moment of the life you have now because once you do settle down and begin the next phase you can never have that carefree and no family responsibility life back, once you have a baby your heart will never be your own again 🥰 and somehow it will feel like someone has pressed the x2 speed button on your life. Sorry your feeling down! As someone who’s partners in the military I’ve had to endure 3 tours in the past 3 and a half years which is a lot. Tbh something that has really helped me is really valuing that time instead of sitting around ‘waiting’ for them. You will be getting married soon and that family life will come. You probably won’t get much time alone for the rest of your life! Say yes to plans with friends, solo dates, solo trips and get out there and live your life! 🥰🌎🎉

I agree with you so much on reading actual books, i just love the smell of books and flipping the pages. I’ve tried reading on my iPad and was gifted a kindle by one of my gfs and it’s just not the same. They are useful for travel though ☺️ but other than that, real books over digital ones any day!

I've been where you are when my future husband and I dated long distance, it was very difficult but it helped us both know that we were certain that we wanted to move ahead in our relationship, it really made us stronger as a couple. We are once again living apart 40 years later. I'm in our new winter home on the west side of the US and he is working on the east side. I really enjoy your videos. You truly want the "best version of yourself" and I find that inspiring! You will get through this season, but don't wish it away because it's difficult, there are blessings and growth opportunities to be had that you don't want to miss out on!

Loved this vlog today. I figured you were MIA due to making the transition after being in Thailand. My heart feels for you both. I'm glad your parents are there. I feel bad for Kenny. While you come back to the normalcy of home, Roo and parents, he is basically alone (except for his work) for the time being. Stick it out. Finding a soul mate is a precious thing in life. I've not been so fortunate. You had mentioned the reading of Twilight series not being your thing. While the movies now are older, (even at my age) are truly very very good. For me it's the romance and the good overcoming evil. Those are things we need in this life. Seeing the good win. I do love your neutrals and browns. You look lovely in those colors, but that pink sweater just looks SO pretty on you. I loved it !!! Silly to say, but my life is nothing like yours (mine is ho hum) . Regarding ACOTAR, if you don't love it by the end of the second book I probably wouldn't continue. Where the 1st and 2nd book are very different, the 3rd is very much like the 2nd. I personally LOVED the first 3 (Nesta's book I can take or or leave it) but we all like different things so don't force it if it isn't for you <3
