1993 Honda del Sol rear sway bar installation

Показать описание
The 93 del Sol did not come from the factory with a rear sway bar. The sway bar from a later year del Sol or from a late 90s Integra LS can easily be found and installed.

In addition to the sway bar pulled from another vehicle, you will NEED new lower control arms with a sway bar mounting hole. You can get the ones from the same vehicle you pulled the sway bar from, or you can get an aftermarket one.

Things you need:
Jack and jack stands
14 mm socket
12 mm socket
4 bolts to mount the sway bar to the rear cross member (M10/1.25 length 20)

Things you might find useful:
Penetrating lube
Anti-seize lubricant
Hacksaw
Silicone grease (for new bushings)
New sway bar bushings
New end bushings
New sway bar end links
Spare suspension bolts (M10/1.25 dr length 84) and matching nuts

Time for this job could be as little as 1-2 hours (if you are lucky and have no seized bolts) or half a day if you have to cut and/or drill through seized bolts.

Cost for parts, including new bushings and end links should be under $150.

Thanks for good inputs. I would like to comment here that you had made a typo at 4:58. These are M8/1.25.

Thanks for the video. Does your sway bar endlink sit parallel when fully tightened. I have skunk2 lca and the endlink is at a crazy pulled in angle

Nice video. Did you notice a significant difference in driving after you installed the sway bar?

I cant you how much the rear sway bar means to the Del Sol. I am an original own of a 1997Del Sol Si. I drove several early Del Sols.
Without the rear sway bar the rear would not stay in place.
