These cars are dope with some mods, this needs a manual swap. I’ll never forget one pulled up on me in my Celica gts as I was cruising one night on the highway and tried pulling off, I caught up as soooon as I hit lift (Toyotas version of vtec) and left him like 3 car lengths behind. Then we came up over a crest and there was dead stop traffic. Like an eighth mile ahead, I was able to slow down from 100+ with plenty of room, but I looked behind and he wasn’t able to slow down in time, heard his tires screeching, so I pulled off into the breakdown lane, and his car started to fishtail, he hit the center guard rail pretty hard, and messed up his fender and front bumper. As I was sitting in traffic. I saw him drive by the breakdown lane to the next exit, dragging his bumper. Soon as I got off that same exit I saw him pulled over and checked if he was alright. The car was cleannn, all black with fresh paint, but he definitely needed to invest in better brakes. Poor kid, luckily it looked like just the bumper and fender from what I could see in the dark. Coulda been worse.

Ended up on this video researching replacing my thermostat on my 97 Del sol Si. They’re such fun little cars. I hated the 4 speed auto so I swapped it to a 5 speed manual out of a parts car. Man I love this car.

Had a del sol for 6 years in manual d-series form. Drove it like I stole it, Vtec always, never let me down, except rust. Am I the only one looking @ the E34 BMW in the back...
