Asking how much you make isn’t rude. It’s openly communicating and transparency is key to a healthy conversation. Also it helps lead the industry by example. If agencies underpaying see and hear that others make X. Then they will raise to X. Keeping pay private will just create a more savage workplace. Which can be toxic for those that are given a horrible pay % and commission. If an individual knew what a healthy % was then they could deny someone trying to squeeze the life out of them and pay them in dust bunnies

That’s helpful to know that a good agency will pay for your courses. I recently spoke to an agency and they said I have to pay for all of that myself- about $500. So I’m having second thoughts about joining them.
