In Wisconsin you need to complete 3, 000 hours with 1, 000 hours face-to-face to obtain an LPC + college, of course.

CACREP accreditation has driven up the cost of counseling degree programs astronomically in the past 20 years while salaries have remained relatively unchanged. A waste IMO though it has now become the standard.

I have a double bachelors in psychology & sociology from a New York State university. Graduated magna cum laude. I don’t know where to start to pursue my masters in mental health counseling. It’s def what I feel most fulfilling as a career path with my skill set and genuine want to assist people in the midst of their mental struggles and difficulties. I know I can do it.
