I have an old Meteor Light 2 that has kept me dry, when others big name brands have soaked my friends. I wish SD would bring back the old Meteor Light designs that had less mesh and more tent, to provide some privacy when camping without the fly.

Also, how about some beige, brown or dark green tents with beige flys?!?!?

Yellow screams your location and will get dirty quickly.

They are much more durable than the copper spur and way less expensive. I'll take a little extra weight for more durability and better engineering. Just my preference.

The 3 man tent has increased in weight from 2.4kg to 2.77kg. Please be aware before purchase. I'm informed its to do with their pole manufacturer.

3 pounds 15 ounces. Is it with the poles and accessories or just the tent.

He said it was designed to be big and roomy. I just got this tent, had to go to another channel to figure out setup SINCE THE TENT CAME WITH NO DIRECTIONS! Anyway this big roomy thing is cramped as hell. I'm 6'4" and feet and head poke into the ends EVEN THOUGH THE STATED LENGTH IS 84" which last I checked using the trusty calculator on my smartest phone turns out to be 7 feet. So called grommets and attachment points are so weak. But ok I'll take this thing up to the Boulder Field on north face of Longs Peak before they rename that one something p.c. because some pansy got offended and wah wahed to the light in the loafers governor... and what was I saying, oh yeah, I'll give it a good test in some rough conditions to see if it can endure as well as my old Walrus tent( remember those? They built em so well you only had to buy 1 and that was it for 10 years.) But I'll have the Walrus along just in case.

Profits, Profits, Profits!!! The new meteor light 2 is 29 square feet and the old one is 40 square feet. Less tent for more money!!
