I always assume a narrower stance now with my driver and my drives are now far straighter and slightly longer !

for all clubs.. i find can shape shots better as well with simple slight opening and closing of stance. it's s so easy to drift and get too wide. now i just start feet together then widen slightly. flared right foot helps keep from swaying too. i used to keep stance narrow then drifted away last season. thanks to you and others for the reminder!

I have recently taken up playing golf (New Year's resolution )and as someone in their mid 60s I have found developing new skills at my age rather challenging. I was absolutely flabbergasted with the amount of information regarding this sport and the often contradictory and confusing tips. I took the advice of my two golfing sons who said try and follow one particular sight and and adapt the tips to suit your game. As my two sons are named Alex and Elliot, watching your channel, Alex seemed an obvious choice. Apart from that, your well presented information makes (to me anyway) a lot of sense.

I tried this yesterday. I increased distance by 10 percent with far less dispersion. It also works with iron shots.

I switched to a narrower stance this Fall to help me feel myself swing around my body more, it has helped immensely and my driving is much improved and as Alex said it helps deliver the club face more square or slightly inside out, I do the same on flaring the left foot 😊.

I would like to see an episode on wrist control. My issue is my club face constantly opens because of my wrist no matter how closed I am at the top or how strong I grip the club

I’ve tried it on the range in the past, and it works. Gets the club swinging the right way. It didn’t occur to me to just keep doing the drill on the course.

I’m taking this advice to the range and hopefully add it to my game. Drive is all there and an X factor or it NOT all there and still an X factor in scoring and scrambling. This has some huge potential to simplify the mechanics and eliminate a bunch of breakdowns in mechanics that plague my rounds. Thanks Alex
