Amen! As a child I suffered abuse and would see dark shadows at night, and had an intense fear of the dark until my 40’s, even as a Christian, still afraid. Then we moved to the countryside where there are no street lights and large wild animals (like deer etc) are common and pine trees. One evening I was walking my German shepherd right after daylight savings and forgot the time change. I was about a few miles away from my house, with no flashlights, just my phone. All of sudden it was dark, as I try to use the light from my phone - I’m seeing many animal eyes looking at me. Fear struck me hard, I’m recalling posts about mountain lion spotting, etc. I begin to run but then the Spirit of the Lord and Psalm 23 rise up and begin proclaiming it out loud “though I walk in the shadow of death, I fear not for the Lord is with me”. I stopped running and began walking with boldness. From that point forward I no longer fear darkness, I enjoy dark nights now when stars are shining bright seeing the glory of the Lord!

Brother, this struck me like a bolt of lightning. I have suffered from fear for the majority of my life. Paralysing fear. No more. I am the light in my darkness. I am not alone because You promise to never leave me nor forsake me!I speak the name of Jesus over fear in my life and over the lives of my brothers and sisters in Christ . I command fear to leave us all in the mighty matchless name of Jesus Christ!!

When my grandpa passed away I Remember crying and praying to god and for some reason before I started praying and reading my Bible I wrote down a few things I was scared of in my notebook. 1) being afraid of the dark and 2) being alone. When I read my bible the first two things I read is 1) GOD is the LIGHT and 2) GOD is ALWAYS with us. The comfort the lord brought to my souls reading that I cried so much😭❤️ He really heard my weeping/aching heart and brought comfort in that exact moment of need. I felt like I was in a very dark place (also I was literally afraid of the dark I couldn’t sleep without the tv or some type of light on) and felt so lost and alone. He let me know he is always by my side listening. My god is good, my god is faithful ❤️❤️

thai is so relatable, very often i have felt less than for having struggles whilst being a christian. Not knowing that God invites us to him, and he continues to work with you and changing so many aspects of Us. Glory to Yahweh
