5 Biblical Financial Principles Every Christian Should Know!

Essentially, these are 5 Bible Verses about money that should be impacting the way we handle our money decisions each day.

These are 5 financial principles that have had a deep impact on my life! This video is to educate and get us all familiar with what God's word says about money. The goal is for us to get more inline with what God has intended for us, as we are all works in progress and are growing in our faith!

1️⃣► 1 TIMOTHY 6 : 10 - (01:12)

One of the most misquoted financial bible verses! Money is a tool for us, it isn't evil. As the verse states, it's the love of money that is evil. Please know, that the love of money has nothing to do with how much money is your bank account! So no matter how much money you may have, or not have, this verse is universal.

2️⃣► MALACHI 3 : 10 - (03:04)

No matter your viewpoint on tithing, know that we just cannot go wrong by giving. Tithing allows us to step out in faith with God and watch Him do something really special! I encourage you to always grow in your giving efforts.

Our giving changes us and it changes the world!

Remember, Jesus himself said: "It is more blessed to give than to receive."

4️⃣► PROVERBS 22 : 7 - (06:09)

When we were slaves to sin, Jesus came to set us free. I don't think God wants us to be in bondage when it comes to debt. If you have debt due to mistakes or circumstances beyond your control, I believe God wants to see His children living debt free lives!

5️⃣► PHILIPPIANS 4 : 19 - (7:48)

Putting our trust in anything other than God is silly. The economy, our job, our bank accounts... these are places we should not be placing our trust and they are shaky grounds that will only let us down at some point!

I never thought that everything we needed was in the bible. Thanks for sharing! One of the verse that impacted my life is where it says the borrower is a slave to a lender. I really felt like a slave thats why I got out of debt.

I loved every bit of this! My best money lesson from the bible is from Ecclesiastes 11:2; Invest in seven ventures, yes, in eight; you do not know what disaster may come upon the land. Given the present economy, this is as true as they get. Never put all your eggs in one basket. As one who has been into Real Estates for as long as I can remember, I made my first million earlier this year from stocks alone (got the help of a pro though because I don't have a lot of spare time). I also try out a couple of other things. Now I am a firm believer of the saying a jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one Best wishes!

The borrower is the slave to the lender, that’s so true even in littlest. Three things have caused me sleepless nights: debt, having to perish from this life one day, and needing to do something financially and not having the money to do it and having to borrow the money 💴. As soon as I pay off a debt, it doesn’t feel good letting that money go in the moment, but it dam sure feels good knowing I don’t owe anymore, and I’m not even Christian 🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️😆😆😆

Not tithing robs God of respect. The message said “you don’t have to tithe..”. If you look at the chapter or so before the verse that says “ ..bring the full tithe...” you will see God says “you give everybody else respect but you withhold respect from me by not acknowledging me. Tithing is showing God respect so I love all the pointers and just wanna include: if you don’t want to rob God of respect (not money) then tithing is a MUST!!

I cannot even remember HOW I stumbled across your podcast, what I do know is it was fully orchestrated by God!! Your testimony resonated with me, as I was let go from my job of 7 years at the beginning of the year. This loss had me questioning, where was I really putting my trust? Was it in money or God? But I wasn’t actually ready for that answer yet, and having a family to take care of, real fear set in. I found another career opportunity soon after, but as I am generating income it seems like the money is disappearing just as fast! After many conversations with God and my husband we have decided that God is calling me to be a stay at home mom, and purse writing (in some form). We have no idea how this is going to work, other than through prayer and obedience!! There are SO many signs we have encountered along our praying that we just KNOW God is showing us this vision is from him. One of those reassurances being stumbling across your podcast! We JUST purchased the book a few days ago and are looking forward to starting this journey to financial freedom!! Taking a step of faith, with a sound of praise. Looking forward to one day sharing our testimony with y’all, as our story unfolds!!
