I am a Fed fan and what has happened these past three months has left me even more in awe of the Swiss Maestro's status within the game. He has beaten his great rival Rafa to win in Melbourne, Indian Wells and Miami. He's also beaten Tomas Berdych, (twice) Kei Nishikori, (twice) Stan Wawrinka, (twice) and beat Nick Kyrgios in what has been described by commentators on Tennis TV as the match of the year. Yes we all know Novak is of with an injury, even so what an incredible achievement. He is 35 years and 7 months old as I write this and once again he in this moment, a decade since his best season on the ATP tour (12 titles - 2006) he is still teaching the stars of today and tomorrow what it means to be a legend of men's tennis. Wow.

You can almost feel his confidence in this interview. He strongly reflected on his past with Nadal and the reason, why he was dominated by him so much over the years.
He prepared himself mentally, knowing that a lot of time had been gone and the wounds weren't bleeding anymore.

Maybe that was the reason why he won.

Why can't Federer fans be positive about Federer winning against Nadal? Yes the numbers are against him but that doesn't mean he has never won against Nadal. I am with Federer no matter who the opponent is and no matter whether he wins or looses in the finals against Nadal or against Dimitrov !

So happy ROGER came out on top in an epic five setter. First couple sets, Roger's game plan worked in terms of mixing up the play with coming forward to the net and staying at the baseline. The balance was perfect. But in the third set, when Stan had a knee issue, I think Roger's mind set changed to test out Stan's knee and not focus on his own game plan. Fourth set, Roger played better compared to the third set but credit to Stan as he was hitting a lot of powerful winners. Fifth set was all about who could mentally and keep composure ahead of their nerves.

The respect Federer and Nadal have for each other makes me perplexed why the fans have so much vitriol for each other. I'm sure they wouldn't want any fans that childishly insult the other player. They are just two great humans.

Carefull with Dimitrov...the guy its a natural talent full of confidence and a phisical specimen also...has the endurance and retieves a lot of balls back....his slice can do damage and his forehand is clicking. At the australian open there is no one more dangerous than an on fire player...and Dimitrov its on a roll (in Brisbane he beat Thiem, Raonic and Nishikori)...and i think mentally is ready to take the next step. Nadal its still great, but this Nadal its not 2013 Nadal
