It was the Army Air Force. Dad did most of his 30 missions in a B17 called Miss Aldaflac. He didn’t remember what the nose art looked like on that plane.

My grandpa was in the U.S. Army Air Corps(that’s what it was called back then) he opperated the top turret on the B-17 G in WW2

There was no Air Force in ww2, back then it was part of the army.
