A simple way. load studio one, go to options, services click ill be careful warning, disable vst 3 and vst 2 plugings load your project and remove the bad plug in instance, save now enable the vst's Now you can put plug ins back in

Man, wish I’d seen this video a couple weeks ago. Had the exact same issue. Session was fine one day, crashed the next. The work-around I figured out, which didn’t solve the problem I suppose but got the session up, was to open another session first, then open the session that was crashing Studio One. I chalked it up maybe to the session causing the crash to maybe being too big for my computer to handle (but that’s probably not the issue) so the intermediary session I chose to open was one I knew was much smaller in track count and plug-in count. But after seeing this, I’m definitely gonna be on the lookout for suspect plugins. Thanks so much for posting this.

great Video Dave here is were to find the plug in on a windows machine C: program files>Vst Plugins also check the Common files folder if they are 32bit goto C: program files(x86)>Vst plugins also check the common files folder

Thanks for the tip. I often get a crash when I remove a plugin from the channel when switching plugins. Have you come across this issue or fix?

Thanks Dave, funny you should offer this video at this time. Just the other day, one of my Waves plugins is not loading and being bypassed at startup because the plugin crashed previously. Studio One continued to open though. It did not crash, so I did not get a crash report.
I took a screen shot at the time of start up that the error showed and hope to fix the issue by deleting and then re-downloading and installing the plugin.
It's the WaveShell1-VST 9.92. I am have not upgraded to Catalina on my older recording MacBook Pro yet.

Thank you. My problem was Amplitube 4. I reinstalled it and that was the solution.

This happens to me with IK amplitube 5 vsts. The tip that works for me every time is to use the AU instead of VST. I haven't had the problem with AU.

Studio One 3 crashes when I try to close it down. I constantly get the beach ball and have to force quit my iMac constantly. Any ideas how to cure this?

I appreciate your help, but Studio One has been a disaster so far. Almost no instruments at when I click the instruments tab (especially not the mandatory "YFDS" you need to install EZdrummer), won't load the EZdrummer VST, now crashes on startup due to "Windows Midi engine". That all the helper vids are done on Mac doesn't help either.

Hi, I get no message popup with the crash log. How to I turn that feature (I presume?) on? I'm running Wwindows... is this a PreSonus or O/S error report?
