I have a 2018 Q50 with the Speed Culture exhaust minus test pipes, and it sounds pretty badass for the little bit it cost me. Running 2.5 all the way back is the way to go, also some people don't realize it but when you slap into manual mode the exhaust notes are so much better. But def older Honda civics with the shit cans are horrible sounding. Even the yotas sound better

That’s funny they would say that, my least favorite sounding engine is the V8, although I do like flat plane V8s(Ferrari). My favorite overall is the rotary. I own a VQ and it sounds good to me but my exhaust is deep with zero rasp.

I got tons of compliments from my 350Z and 370Z with the Stillen CBE. When I had the Tomei CBE on the 370Z, it was a bit too loud which is why I sold that to get the Stillen CBE. But the worst sounding engine is any 4 cylinder engine however the people who have been able to get the hands on cheap 350/370Z’s do fuck them up with crap exhaust and crap mods.

Generally speaking, 4 bangers sounds the worst (not all, but most) 6 sit in the middle, and rarely there’s any “bad sounding” V8’s. The main issue is the usual resonator delete, which makes the sound raspier, making it unpleasant

My 370z sound amazing but I use quality parts. Greddy exhaust with art pipes so I didn’t cheap out like most vq owners

The wrong exhaust makes Q's sound horrible. I designed and built a custom exhaust on mine and I get tons of thumbs up on the sound. I've actually built it for 4 others.
