Tricks for Pontiac header installation

A few tips and tricks for installing headers on a Pontiac engine. This is a round port head so will be a little different on D port heads but will may still help.

The heads that you have are like the 7K3 heads, where the first and last bolt holes do not exit. I ended up doing the engineering change on the heads.

I was able to get a bolt in that center rear position but the bolt from above and nut is a good idea that I hadn't thought of. Smart man.

well shit how come I never thought about that.. that is a good trick can't wait to install my headers now. anybody that know Pontiacs it's a nightmare to put hearders on

What’s a good way to get to the bolts themselves? I’m having a really hard time even accessing the bolts thanks to the heads angling down.

Looking to put a ram v set up in the gto cant wait to figure that out im figurin im gonn have to jack up the motor to get more clearance to install the bolts
