Blinken: US Does Not Support Taiwan Independence

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken says he raised concerns about China's "provocative actions" in the Taiwan Strait during talks in Beijing.

"We do not support Taiwan independence," he added.

The US needs to stop playing around and recognize Taiwan. The current US policy on China is a contradtion. If you support only one China then Taiwan belongs to them. On the other hand, if you are providing military aid and making defense agreements to protect Taiwan then you clearly support their independence.

Taiwan's official name is republic of china. Taiwan claim all of china And also Mongolia. Meanwhile the other side people's republic of China also claim all of china including taiwan island. The status quo is tow different governments(the Beijing and Taipei) is competing for the whole nation. A Taiwan independence will breake this status quo. That's why both governments and the UN will not allow it.
If u ever hear somebody in the west say he's fighting for or supporting Taiwan independence. He's either don't understand the taiwan problem. Or he really really want a war.

Biden's statement that "we do not support independence" makes me angry. This statement, made in response to the victory of Taiwan's Democratic Progressive Party, shows that they prioritize the interests of their own country and disregard the will of the people of Taiwan. Although Taiwan has demonstrated the value of democracy, the United States appears to be using its "One China" policy as a shield and bowing to Chinese pressure, as usual.
