So I've just realised that in April last year, I paid to extend my upgrade plan. I went from 5.2 to 5.3 and in one month my upgrade plan is finished. unless a new update gets released soon, it seems like I will only get 1 update from my plan. Not sure how I feel about this.

That's cool. However it's been a decade people have been asking for a slice option on the sampler and a few other things. It would be very nice if you could listen the community for once. A lot of people needs some important future like Video support and Piano Roll improvements in order to be able to keep using Bitwig fully. And it really looks like you want to make a point to not listen to even the simplest request.
That being said, thanks for the hard work and the new devices, but please take this in consideration.

Bitwig is like when you get together a bunch of interior designers to hold court and brainstorm, when the foundations of the house haven't even been laid yet.
I'm starting to wonder if the house actually ever gets built, or if it's just gonna be a bunch of people trying to hang curtains on windows which don't exist yet...

Super simple, intuitive, clear, where you can see the whole tree, structure, and the desired plugin in the right part of the browser. You can't think of anything better, only worse, which is what it is at the moment, unfortunately. So far, Bitwig has the worst browser of all DAWs, although it used to be an excellent browser

That great but we really need piano roll (piano note editor) to not be as basic as it is and catch up with functionality. You can't even merge 2 notes next to each other, which is so basic, i was amazed that bitwig didn't even have that. No chords locking inside piano (as a device is not good enough), no chord track, and lack of many note editing tools. Many composers just don't want to switch to bitwig because of lack of midi editing. The end result after all of the midi devices chains are recorded still need to be edited for a composition of any kind!.... Recolorable automation lanes and so on....
Please please focus on midi editing in piano roll for next update so that composers can switch from likes of cubase or studio one. They copy now some of your launcher of modulators features but its time for you to copy their midi editing tools in end result midi manipulation tasks.

Did you people not read the release notes who have the upgrade plan? They're working on the arranger and piano roll functionality. And if it doesn't come out in thr final 5.3, release they say it'll be soon after. And before you say anything: have any of you actually done devlopment for a DAW before? The grid comonents are comparatively east, as they're seperate entities from the main code. But to glow up the piano roll is a much bigger. If you just slap out an early release, the entire DAW will be buggy AF. And the same members of the peanut gallery will be all like "i want the old piano roll back. This is buggy. Shame on you Bitwig" Now clamp it, and to make some IDM beats

We need Ara support. Audio to midi by dragging the audio file to the instrument track. Chord detection from any tracks etc…

The day has finally come for us piano roll requesters, hoping it's the piano scale midi highlight and fold piano roll to scale!
