Interesting to see you put a few dolphin kicks during the glide phase. Would that be something to try out? Looks fast. Does it tire you out more?

Considering there are push-ups / sit-ups / pull-ups and run after this I back it off to about 19-21 sec. so that would put the swimmer at around 7:30 ish.

That's entirely up to you. If you are decent at utilizing that kick then I would say try it out. It doesn't really tire me out no, but I've been a doing this quite a long time.

Damn. 17 seconds to get across the pool. Can you keep that pace for the entire 500 yards? That would be about 5min 40sec.

Actually hard to say, I was just swimming as relaxed as possible. Maybe 50%?

I would not recommend using the dolphin kick for your pst unless you're an accomplished swimmer.
