for me mental peace is greater than money..5-10k less salary hoga to chalega..if needed to become TO first i will gain enough knowledge about bank operation as a clerk than become TO by experience..that's my point... rest everyone has their own opinion..

bare truth brother, working as JA i truly concur with your thoughts .Roz time se pehle aana and late hi jana is the real culture in bank every aspirant should know that before joining the bank . Time is taken care only when bank opens

First of all you are no one to tell other what bank life is when your are unemployed you need a govt job thats it . So go for the job guys don't go with him. He is just demotivating you . You get respect when you work in a bank even i am working in sbi bank as a JA for 5 years and got promoted. Yes there is work pressure but i know you will all handle it. 💯

I work in PNB as a SWO A and posted in a scale 3 branch near Kolkata. I have to work in cash counter at the same time I do RTGS, NEFT, Transfer, KYC, Account opening, Giving Statements, Printing passbooks. But we don't have any sales target
Usually I work till 5:30-6 pm.There are instances where I have to work till 9. But as I have worked in TCS as a developer this bank job is not hectic for me. I want to stay in my home city kolkata or atleast within in west bengal as long as possible. In pnb till scale 2 you can manage to stay in your home state if you have strong relation with union. I want to know case of SBI? Will SBI clerk be better for me? What is the chance of getting posting in kolkata? As inter circular transfer is not allowed in sbi. I don't have experience of selling. In Sbi if I take promotion from clerk to TO how much chance will be there to stay in Kolkata? And how long can I remain in home city and state?

Please explain what do u mean when u say...u look at the plight of officers and which makes u think it's better to be JA and have stable salary and job with lesser responsibility and stress:
1. Is it only about sitting late night till 8-9?
2. Do they don't get leaves?
3. Do they have to do promotional activities on Saturday Sunday also?
4. Do the officers always looked down by seniors if they fail to sell mutual fund, insurance, credit card?
5. Do Officers really suffer from hypertension and other physical and mental illness?

Yea saale SBI wale vacancy bahat kamm nikal rhe hein..Agle 3-4 saal tak 15000+ vacancy ni nikla to sab jo Clerks hein wo v raat 7-8 baje tak kaam krenge
