I hate those PB turbo lights. The problem is that they're bright AF to the cyclists that are following you, but if you go a little off the axis of the lens they're no brighter than a typical 5 led blinky.

for being seen, you want lights with a wider viewing angle, not an insanely high brightness.

The Niterider Lumina is another good front light. Mine has worked flawlessly. I totally agree on the super flash. That has been my rear light of choice for years.

I would add a nice pair of padded bike shorts or pants. Your squishy bits will thank you after miles in the saddle.

I would add a bicycle bell. It saved me from a lot of close calls.

As for bike helmets, I recommend those with "mips technology". Keeps your brainbucket safe. ;)

I only now got around to get some of those items. Probably I was pretty cautious biker then.
However I still need to get info on all the tubes and how it's done on the go.
I did helmet, hand pump, some tools, lights and now need chain too as well as those tubes.

My bike had reflectors and bell already and I installed bottle holder and kick stand.

I should be fine for another year but I'm always scared to bust the tyre and I'm still learning how to be a proper cyclist

tire sealant is way underrated. it makes tires virtually immune to punctures! a blessing if you love road bike tires.
a little 20-50cc squeeze bottle full is almost as good as packing a spare tube, if you dont have it in your inner tubes yet.

I tried my trip to school without any spare tubes, and I got a flat. So I continued going about 7 km with flat rears. Caught a taxi on the way back home.

I had a Pedro's tire tool that snapped on me just last week right on the lip. Everyone on my ride were surprised. They thought the same thing you did. Best thing is to find a good tire that works with your rims so you don't have to battle with removing it during a flat. Still, this is a great video.

im surprised that you dont prefer white lightning, as a person that picks up and walks with my bike, i prefer wax as it doesn't stain clothing and runs just as smooth
