Some new tweaks for the f1 2026 aero dropped allowing cars to go ~2sec faster than original with some floor inlet strakes, larger volumes in the diffuser and some front wing tweaks. Would you cover these in a small explanation video explaining how they would improve lap time?

You forgot the leeward side, the side away from the corner, which has everything working in its favor. The trick is to borrow energy from the leeward side and use it to energize the windward side(the side facing the corner)

How important would you say that air direction is in low speed corners? If it’s crucial why don’t teams and drivers opt to rotate the car a lot more in slow speed corners, in order to benefit from better air flow direction (as shown in higher speed corners) ? Is the added tire wear from bigger rear slip angles the main problem in such a scenario?

Question that has always bothered me is, as the car lowers at speed how much ride height or front downforce instability is a worthwhile compromise between performance and aero balance?

This video got me thinking that lateral acceleration/yaw rate/wheel wake could cause even more issues for low speed aero, so obviously the most difficult part would be how do the teams deal with all the complexities like tuning the anti roll bars/springs/dampers plus the craziness of aero?

I noticed and you also mention that the diagrams are with no slip angle. In real life cars are always at some kind of slip angle, plus your diagrams are for extremely tight corners. Does the car actually experience that much diagonal flow?

I feel like this video answers some questions but also raises questions.

So meaning you cannot make a perfect f1 car who can be effective in all 3 types of speed corners, . so that you need to chopss on what types of corners that you are going to be more effective to used 😁🥰

Thanks, nice video.
One problem air doesn't flow unless wind is involved.
A car or aircraft move threw the air your drawing is wrong.
When you kick hard rudder on a aircraft you can hear the air spill over the fuselage .
The wing opposite of rudder has less left because of the nose blank out some of the wing on the spill side.
Same with cars.

You make so much more time up in high speed corners, that if you dominated low speed corners and were below average in high speed corners, you’d be a much faster car in terms of lap time.
