Seeing our typically grave and stoic Paul in a cheeky paper crown and nibbling on some mince pies was an absolute delight! 😄 Cheers!

Having used chloroform in university, I seem to remember that it has a distinct and pungent odour. I'd be surprised if he could drink it, even diluted, without realizing it.

Another great mystery! I will say that Victorian era medicine bottles were notoriously difficult to tell apart and medical 'prescriptions' where a bit dodgy on how much you should take, so this could be as much a accidental death as a murder.

What an incredibly honest and reasonable jury!

If the landlord could smell the ether in the glass he must have smelled it also. Have a wonderful New Year Paul, I look forward to new stories in 2024.

Thank you for another year of tales that have made me say, "well... I never..." over and over again.
Warmest regards and Happy New Year.

A true mystery, Paul. I lean toward her being innocent. Her husband had some pretty strange quirks. It reminded me of the Lizzie Borden case. I still can't decide on that one.

You are the BEST story teller! I love all the cases profiled, but I promise I would not enjoy them as much if it wasn’t you Mr. Brodie! Happy New Year, Mahalo once again for this channel… aloha for now 🌸

I may have a story you may like to cover from the town I live in. A Northeast town named Ferryhill. The Brass farm murders which happened in 1683 and was such an horrendous crime that newspapers all over the country published the story and shocked Royalty and commoner alike. I enjoy your channel so much and love the way you bring the stories to life. Thankyou for your wonderful channel. Jacke Steed.

Another fascinating story and well narrated.
Those pictures make her look surprisingly modern. She could be from the 1980s, not 1880s.
