I’ve been using the Oura ring for the last 3 years but, definitely would be interesting to see what apple comes out with. I’m sure apple would make sure you can do so much more with it and it most likely work with your watch and phone in some way. Wish it was coming out sooner than later

I was a die-hard Android fan for all my life but am now switching over to iPhone for the first time in September with the iPhone 16 release. The well integrated ecosystem won me over eventually...

Instead of making us buy the size kit first, they should've given us a size guide for each size, for example if the finger your gonna wear it in is around 40mm wide than size 5= 40mm size 6=50mm something like that where we don't have to purchase the size kit could just measure our fingers and get the right size immediately

I use an Oura Ring and Apple Watch together. I'd love to see what Apple comes up with. It would be great if Apple started giving you a similar readiness, sleep, activity, and resilience score (without additional apps) based on the data from your watch and/or ring. It would also be great to see the watch and ring work together if you wear both.

I also need it to work independently with Find My, because losing an Oura Ring outside the Bluetooth connectivity zone is a nightmare. I once searched my house for over an hour, only to remember I took my Oura Ring off at work to wash my hands and left it in the restroom when I was extremely exhausted. A notification that I had left my ring behind (like Apple does when you walk too far from your iPhone) would have been EXTREMELY helpful in that moment of exhaustion.

I wish they added a mini display that can tell you your heart rate would be more useful.

I'm surprised you didn't completely trash it, especially since it provides inaccurate data on some of the most crucial features it's meant to track, like steps, heart rate, and sleep. Those seem like major deal breakers for anyone serious enough to wear a ring for monitoring those metrics.

The ring has to function independently from both the watch and phone. What is the point otherwise?
They should connect to each other to access the data collected by the ring, but functionally, it should work without them.

I honestly don’t think a device like this should be more tha $200! $199 at best! There is nothing to the thing so manufacturing and parts have to be dirt cheap! There are maybe $30-$40 in parts. And manufacturing, marketing and shipping it’s maybe $100 and I’m being nice!

Everyone does gestures... I believe Motorola started it for the record. Apple doesn't invent everything. If you think Samsung and the other companies won't progress in the next two years with their rings... By the time Apple invents the Smart Ring, I'm sure these "problems and shortcomings" will be mostly ironed out.

I'm fully on board with people being fans of Apple, they make great products. However, I get tired of these channels that only purchase the competition's products so they can shit on them. It's annoying as hell.

I've been liking my Galaxy ring. I do wish it would work with more devices though. Apple ring will likely be a joke, just like all Apple devices. We all know Apple ring will not only be more expensive, but carry a monthly subscription like Oura. Worst part is, you will be required to use an iOS device for it to work and it will likely require a charge every 4 hours. To each their own though.
