Ehh, I have a feeling that with a product like this it could very likely be 3-4 years before a Ring2 comes out. I mean, the Buds2 have been around for what? 2-3 years and we're FINALLY getting some Buds3? So something like a ring may take even longer to advance. I mean, that's really the only reason why Samsung would even really bother with a Ring2 is if new tech made it possible for 1) even more battery 2) a new sensor was engineered to fit in a ring.

So yeah, I certainly wouldn't wait on a Ring2 to adapt. But maybe wait like 6 months for Samsung to work out any software bugs, maybe wait and see if there is a design flaw, etc.

I'm not typically an early adopter. I've been watching the Flip & Fold for a while and the Fold6 finally caught my attention...no more gap when you've got it folded, the hinge looks a lot more protected, the crease looks better, etc. So for the Fold7 I'll see what they're about. I just really like the idea of having a slightly skinnier phone for much easier 1-handed use but then you also have like a mini-TV screen that's perfect for multi-tasking. But it's been more a gimmick than legit to me until just days ago. Now if only they could find a place for an s-pen.

Worth the cost cause I want sleep data and I hate wearing my watch to sleep. Many of us have real jobs too and $400 isn't a big deal especially with no sub involved. I'm also upgrading from a watch 4 to the new 7, I just like new tech.

Extremely detailed, all questions answered. Thanks. Can I use it to track my luggage during trips?

Very nice review. However I would like you to add another category of users who would love to wear this ring. Those people who had to let go of their classic watches just to accommodate smart watches as it gives us so much information that we can’t think of not wearing it. Now when that info is available through a ring, I would love to wear my Tissot, Raymond Weil and Omegas. 😂

I like the gesture the ring can do but only 1 isn't too helpful. Hopefully smart rings down the line develope this idea more. Scrolling the screen for example would be great or making your finger into a mouse, I use DEX on my smartphone.

I am not paying more than £200 or $300 for such a thing.

Just wait for it to go on sale

Samsung Watch Ultra looks Good
but that Watch Strap looks Cheap
just like the Apple Watch Ultra Strap.
I will try the Ring for Sure. 😊👍🏼

I've had every samsung watch since gear 2 and while the functionality has grown, it's also outgrown my use-case; looking forward to trying the ring and maybe going back to an analog watch and saving the smartwatch for specific fitness tracking or forego the smartwatch and just get a better fitness tracker; either way, on-body tracking with temp/hr/sleep and a week of battery is a winner.

You must be very new in tech. Oura is not the only one on the market. Ultrahuman and Ringconn doing very well for better prices :) There are also other rings, trying to make it to the market.

I have an iPhone and an Apple watch Ultra 2, but I also have a Galaxy Fold phone and the ring will be a great companion. Better than wearing 2 watches 😂

Well there is no subscription so $400 is dirt cheap. I am getting the titanium silver ring and silver Buds 3.

Great video. Agree with several other comments. Will fail due to its price which should have been between 100-200.

Pretty much an enthusiasts price for tech enthusiasts. It's hard to even justify that value. Then again, this has its own target audience.

It can't be used for payments (nfc)? Seems like that would be a given.

Nice video! Great explanations! Do you know if you are able to take a picture with the ring? For example if you want to take a group photo but don't have anyone to take the photo you can put the phone across from the group, click the ring, and it will take photo.

Only just released in Australia this week ; AUD $699 which is equivalent to US $468. All the same I ordered one and received the fitting kit today. The only size that will fit is the largest, #13, and that will only fit on my ring finger. And pretty tightly at that, . Everyone seems to reckon that it works best on the index finger so I'm thinking of cancelling the order. Questions: 1) anyone out there wearing their's on the ring finger? 2) any guitarists out there with experience of wearing a Smart Ring whilst playing?

Great info. Sounds like I have no need. My Garmin Fenix 7x already does all of this and more.

How quickly does it charge from 10% to full? When it’s not on your finger, it’s not tracking. If charging takes longer than 60 min, that’s a big miss. Also using a ring and watch in tandem is dumb.
