For the next one I would suggest a magnetic cover. I have the Steelseries Nova Pro Wireless which has swappable batteries as well as an external charger and with its magnetic cover its super quick and easy to exchange so I never need to plugin my headset.

Question: why not go with connectors like in iphone/androids? Won't that allow for bigger battery considering you won't have to add a lot of structural components to your battery?
The battery will still be user replaceable because who can't remove a connector?

You should be using AAA batteries so that way I can put alkaline batteries in there and try to charge them. /S

I have a headphone that is just as easy to replace the batteries in however it does use AAA batteries so if you put alkaline in there you can charge them. I've never needed to replace the rechargeable batteries in them though so I've never personally accidentally charged alkaline AAA batteries.
