I always leave my brain at home just for the safety.

Hydration hook issue resolution: remove hook, replace with velcro patch, put velcro around hose...pull when needed, stick out of way👍

Can't believe F9 had that many Ryans to spare.

**No Ryans were actually harmed or killed during the making of this video**

I ALWAYS felt that the pointy aftermarket accessories were potential death traps. Glad I'm not the only one who sees this. They look cool... until they kill you.

As obvious as the danger that comes with spike like mods are, I've had spike grips on my bike for years. Loved them for the looks, the spike and the integrated turn signal in the spike end of the grip. However, one night on my way home I hit a deer that jumped out in front of me, not even giving me time to hit the brakes...as my chest bounced off the tank, the bars torqued with the bike going down on its side, and there it was...the spike tearing into my forearm. At the time I didnt realize it, because I was more amazed with the luck of my open face landing into my gloved hand as I hit the pavement, but upon arriving home and checking the damage done...I realized I had a sleeve full of blood and a torn wound to match. Thumbs up on the vid. Good points. :^)

Some say his family name is actually F9, and that his right hand is already abrasion resistant from... well, you know...
All we know is, he's called Ryan!

Love the safety tips. I've been riding since 1985 but for the life of me I couldn't figure out why an external water hose could be dangerous. But after I saw why, I almost panicked from just the idea. That would really suck!

I'd just like to say that I recently got back in to riding and have watched a number of your videos now and I really appreciate how much effort you put into a simple topic that could be condensed into a simple "list video". You do a great job and I know I'll be watching many more of your videos in the future! Rock on man!!

Shoelaces stuck in the gear shifter are also very dangerous.

Why is the first sentence anyone utters after meeting with my riding mates always "Hey, did you see Ryan's new video?" - and the answer is always "Yeah!" - and then some discussion ensues. Thanks for consistently excellent material. Well... for the last ride it was "did you see the pre ride check video" - followed by "Yeah" - then silence - then "I did absolutely none of that before coming here", and a round of "yeah, me neither". I'm a terrible human being. Pearls before swine and all that.

As a motovlogger I can honestly say you are one of the hardest working people in the motorcycle industry! Keep up the hard work, brother.

I cannot stress how much this guy makes me laugh with his 'epitaph editing pieces' in this essential informational video.
I have taught driving professionally, and one of the very best ways to get people to not only digest important info but to retain said important info, is with the use of humour. we tend to remember jokes as they gave us a laugh, they gave us pleasure. its an age old method for implanting information. So... keep making those of us who actually have a sense of humour, remember what you've said. e.g. 1: 25. Once again buddy, keep up the good work, RF9 (subscribed)

Another True Story from the old guy archives : 1965, small prairie town, southwest US. Several of us 14-15 yr old's were riding the main drag in town, when approaching a green light, it changed to yellow. The car in front of us slammed on it's brakes and four of us stopped under our own power. Number five was stopped by the bumper and tail fin of a '59 Cadillac. Yep, impaled him just below the ribcage. If your going to impale yourself on the tail fin of a '59 Cadillac, it's best if you choose the proper location. We happened to be in an intersection between the fire station and local hospital. We were busy trying to disimpale (unimpale, depale?) our friend when a few guys from the fire station came running over. They stopped us, then proceeded to look the situation over. They decided we were on the right track and grabbing upper and lower body, removed him from the tail fin. The little blue haired driver threw up, then fainted. Another gurney appeared and both patients were wheeled across the street for treatment. Both survived. Moral to story : Not only be aware of sharp pointy things on your bike, also be aware of sharp pointy things that stop you when exiting the bike.

As a beginner rider hitting the road this coming year, i cannot thank F9 enough for the entertainingly informative tips. You've already helped me be a safer rider, but these gear tips i'd have never thought about until after an inncident (Like poor quality gloves that shred the first time you wipe out inevitably!). Cheers mate!😁
