In typography, “leading” rhymes with “wedding”, because it derives from how much lead—the metal—was inserted between lines in metal type.

Great video. A handy starter for newbies. One correction… in the print world, there are 72 points to an inch. (12 points to a pica and six picas to an inch.) Also, a small thing… the word leading is pronounced "led-ing." Rhymes with "heading."

Extremely good video. I'm not formally trained but have read oh so many books over the years and have been doing a lot of things right.
