Your vids are really great man, thanks so much for your help! I'm not a CS major, but I needed to learn python so I could know enough to put data into Matlab for my new research job.

Couldn't have done it without you, man!! Thanks so much

I have a few questions about the 'the in operator' page. When you type in 'print key, my_dict[key]' does it print the key but then also print the value...is it because it iterates through and the next thing is the value automatically. If so why is it in square brackets as key?

Also why not just type in key again without the 'my_dict' bit?

Another thing is why is there a space when you did not put a space? It even asks in the question 'print out the key, then a space, then the value stored by that key' but the space comes out in the result regardless of whether you put one in or not...what the hell?

Your videos are really shortening my python learning curve. As in Matthew case I am not a CS major either but an unemployed structural engineer. After losing 2 jobs in about 6 months I am getting out engineering...well sort of. I want to learn python to automate design/detailing with some animation. You are helping so much in the pursuit of my dream and an opportunity to earn a living in this screwed up Obama economy that the media says is so wonderful.
