Just shows even a Guy only having won one slam in the big 3 era how good the 2010'th was. Cilic was always underrated imo. His forehand is easily top 10-20 of All time. Good serve, good backhand, excellent volleys too actually. Not a bad player.

Sad for Rune though.

Rune's loss of form has really shocked me. I was sure that he was the next big thing after his Paris 2022 run, but sadly he has only gone downhill from there. This year, besides Cincinnati and Monte Carlo, he really hasn't shown that he is close to his best level. At least last year he made the two Grand Slam QFs and the Rome F.

Rune plays so weird man. Coming to the net at odd times. Overusing the drop shot. Then standing so far back behind the baseline playing passive. Few games later blasting wild errors.

He needs an actual coach who can develop him a identity. Cause now it’s all over the place.

On the other hand, someone's gotta help Rune and pull him out of this deep hole he's dug himself into. For starters he needs a steady coach for his tennis and an emotional coach to manage his emotions better.
