Based on the international bestseller by Robert Harris. It is Autumn 1938 and Europe stands on the brink of war. Adolf Hitler is preparing to invade Czechoslovakia and Neville Chamberlain's government desperately seeks a peaceful solution. With the pressure building, Hugh Legat, British civil servant, and Paul von Hartmann, German diplomat, travel to Munich for the emergency Conference. As negotiations begin, the two old friends find themselves at the centre of a web of political subterfuge and very real danger. With the whole world watching, can war be averted and, if so, at what cost?

In select theatres in the United States in December and on Netflix January 21.

I am happy they cast german actors to play the german characters. Also, the German spoken by George Mackey is clear and understandable. I think I will tune in.

I didn’t even know who Jeremey Irons is portraying, but only one look and it is clear that he is a perfect Chamberlain. Incredible.

I saw this movie today. It was brilliant. Tense and thrilling, just as any historical spy drama should be. A really good piece of film. Don’t miss seeing it in the cinema

Just happy to see Jannis Niewöhner making a name for himself as an actor. That guy has a bright future if he keeps going like that

The only problem is Hitler’s look. He could be an amazing actor but definitely not the best look alike

I'd watch anything with George Mackay, but this movie looks really wonderful and very intense. Can't wait!

I watched this to see George and became a Jannis's fan. He was really Paul himself. I wish he would do a lot of English-speaking movies as well as German. What a brilliant actor he is!

I actually own this novel. It’s excellent and it looks like they’ve adapted it very faithfully.

Jeremy Irons playing Neville Chamberlain looks to be on the same level of similarity as Gary Oldman playing Winston Churchill in Darkest Hour. Can't wait!

Love it; and love this new tendency in mainstream of having international films with each people talking its national language; gives it so much authenticity. And Jeremy Strong plays such a convincing Chamberlain.

I've always liked George Mackay's acting since 11 22 63. He has a really great future in acting. He does great in historical fiction/nonfiction!
