Interesting video but a constructive criticism. You spent 15 minutes of preamble before you started talking about the camera. The video is long enough without all that. Hope this helps.

Good review Martin. But, if I may be honest, far to long; I had to keep fast-forwarding to find the info I need. With a little effort, I learned what I needed. Just a personal opinion. Otherwise, thanks for taking the effort to review the camera.

Hi Martin, thanks for another great video. I've been considering the alternative pairing of ASI462MC with its greater Near IR response coupled to an Astronomik 742nm filter to do imaging of the Moon.
Keep the videos coming, appreciate the work it entails for you.

Question can I save videos only, or have both photo and video thank you?

Thanks for this video. Would be super helpful if you could help find how to plug a canon EF lens on that sensor

Does Deep sky also work? Becuase my focal length is probably too high and the sensor too small for live stacking

Great video....Could it be that they moved the screws on purpose to make it more difficult to cool it down?

Hi Martine I recently purchased a 662 I get good images but the color balance seems way off on all my planetary and dso images everything is way to redish and yellowish. Did you see that issue when processing your videos? They look a big off to me as well in your videos. How did you set the color balance for this near camera?

Hi Martin, really enjoyed your very thorough and in-depth review, thanks. What is the title of the music please at 1:21:20 when Jupiter comes on?

Hi Martin, thanks for the video. I recently purchased a 662MC with UV/IR cut filter. I would like to use now that camera for an allsky project but I am new to this and do not know how to adapt the filter to the camera if I want to also use the lens it comes with ofr allsky? Thanks a lot for your answer!

Thanks for the in-depth video! I have a question though: Shouldnt this camera be able to output 107 FPS in full resolution? According to the manufacturers website it should at least. That would be a max exposure time of roughly 9ms for a full 107 FPS in 1920x1080. I was a bit surprised that it only gave you roughly 30 - 40 FPS in full HD but maybe there is something I am missing. I will get this camera it should be delivered roughly in a week and then I can try it out for myself.

Great video !! I just received my asi662mc.
I'm a beginner .. do I need a uv/ir cut filter for planetary photography?
If yes .. can you recommend one ?
Thank you ?

I hope someone will be able to answer this question in the comments.

I am wanting to start the hobby of astrophotography, and I am looking at a few dslr cameras on eBay. Should I get a f/6.3 focal reducer? My current telescope is the StarSense DX 102AZ refractor telescope. It has a 660mm focal length and a 102mm aperture. Any suggestions on a T-ring adapter also? I’m on a bit of a tight budget at the moment, so that also plays a factor. Thanks to anyone that can help!

In the lunar and Jupiter photos did you use any of the filters you mentioned earlier?
