At 1:05:53 “They are not counterfeit. They have been sitting in my garage for years.” That’s a rather bizarre standard for authentication.

I bought a Bill James book. It was one with actual stories in it and not all about stats. There are a few stories about the "Black Sox". Shoeless Joe was not only illiterate (that's why his autograph is so rare) but he wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed. He was so obvious about tanking that he allowed several triples to be hit while he was playing left field. No left fielder in the major leagues allows triples to get by them!!

When sellers gets overly excited for the estimated price they got from the "Expert" but gets disappointed on the offer they got in the end. Lol

Great show for historical items and some of the history that goes along with it. Love to see the experts come in. Amazon car hop trays.

Out of all the famous signatures Rick has had walk into the shop he doesn’t call in an expert on the rarest sports signature of all time😂

Babe Ruth was the greatest left handed pitcher of the 1910's. This was before he shattered the home run record of Roger Connor. Crazy that Rick thinks Ty Cobb was a greater baseball force

Joe Jackson's signature on a flat paper and a baseball isn't going to be the same anyway. That's a horrible comparison. Writing on a flat surface and a holding a ball and signing will look different.

“Your expert said $2, 000, and I know you need to make money. So $1, 900.” Wow that sure leaves them a lot of room to make money lol.

Seller: I'd like to get 20, 000.
Expert: I'd put a retail value of $10, 000."
Cory: I can offer you $7k.
Seller: Can you maybe do a bit more? Say $16k?
.... At that point, just walk away.

50:10 "the value is subjective, depends on what the buyer is willing to pay for it, and what the seller is willing to accept for it."

Thanks for the marketing lesson, ma'am!
