NEET-UG 2024 Row: Shashi Tharoor After SC Verdict and Exam Arrangements: 'Something Very Strange..'

On the Supreme Court's verdict on NEET-UG 2024 exams, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor on August 2 said that there is a new complication in the NEET UG as the students of Kerala were assigned their examination centers in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. He said that the authorities need to rethink and find a better and more efficient way to conduct the exams.
"There have been number of areas that complaints have come from. There have been some strange cases, like a topper in Gujarat who could not even pass her school examinations, but somehow topped in the NEET. There is something very strange about the situation, it definitely needs to be addressed. There is a new complication with the NEET PG because a majority of the students from my state of Kerala have been given centres not in Kerala but in Andhra and Telangana. How can this country conduct examinations so badly? I have just seen Minister JP Nadda along with a delegation of Kerala MP's. The matter is very serious. The entire way in which this whole NEET system is being conducted, whether it's NEET PG, they need to rethink it and find a better, more efficient way because our young people's aspirations, hopes, and prayers are being put at risk in this,” said Shashi Tharoor

1. First the 2 shift exam arrangement is against supreme court verdict in 2017 to conduct exam in one shift....

2. On addition the centre are allocated in other states thousands km away...

3.Trains and flights are being cancelled due to weather condition even these are in NEWS aswell

4.Hotel charges are so high, few flights are showing with very high price, Trains are having waiting list.

We are doctors and deserve better than this...Please help us in this issue...

Are our lives not precious ? why are we forced to travel out of state in this bad weather who will think of us, we doctors are suffering.

4. Hotel charges are so high, few flights are showing with very high price, Trains are having waiting list.

5. They didnt give us exact venue so hotels cant be booked. Hotels are almost showing full from 8th-11th August. What will we do please higher authorities guide us.

We are doctors and deserve better than this...Please help us in this issue...

Not only neet ug or pg but any exam, any exam should not be conducted during monsoon season in the entire country. Traveling long distances just to reach centre become more distressful along with the stress of exam and psychological pressure of somehow getting the exam cracked. Yes its traumatising, because one gets hurt mentally forever. Humanitarian grounds should be considered.
