Excellent question. You can create a sub in either, but in general, modules are for general subs and functions. Sheets are where you store subs related to items in that particular sheet or worksheet events related to that sheet (aka when sheet is activated or a cell is changed on THAT sheet or an Activex control like a button is clicked). Workbook is for storing events that are workbook wide (aka ANY sheet is activated or a cell is changed on ANY of the sheets.) Thx! Dan

Thank you for the video, Jotting down what i learnt in the video - may be helpful for others as well Add 'Developer' command to Ribbon
Invoke a VBA editor
Insert Module
Include a Range in the VBA editor (Basic)
Passing text /numeric value to Range
Run macro in VBA page
Debug line by line
Show the pre and post values for a line during debug
Run macro outside VBA editor (from Excel Sheet)

I have to say that I like the way you demonstrate using basic macro on a good phase. Others explain it in a very technical and fast phase. I am definitely watching all your videos. Makes me want to go home immediately and play with my Excel. Excel-ent Job!

I just finished watching all 39 videos in the Basic playlist! You really do a great job in taking a somewhat frustrating language to learn and making it enjoyable. I look forward to watching the others.... Thank you!

Excel VBA is Fun! And also extremely useful and powerful! I learned VBA from people like you and John Walkenbach's Excel 2010 Power Programming with VBA. Keep up the good work!
