Farhan and Safiyyah, who grew up in this environment, were often confused. They saw their parents making decisions that went against what they had been taught in the Quran and the Hadith. They were taught to judge based on what Allah had revealed, but they saw their parents doing the opposite.

One day, as they were sitting down to dinner, Farhan spoke up. "Father, I am confused. We have been taught to judge by what Allah has revealed, but I see you and Mother doing otherwise. Can you explain this to me?"

Khalid looked at his son and sighed. He knew that he and Aaliyah had been inconsistent in their behavior, and he was ashamed. "Son, what your mother and I have been doing is wrong. We have been following our desires and feelings instead of Allah's teachings, and we have been setting a bad example for you and your sister."

Farhan nodded, but he was still confused. "But Father, if you know what is right, why don't you follow it?"

Khalid sighed again. "Son, it is not easy. We are only human, and we make mistakes. We try our best to follow Allah's teachings, but sometimes our desires get the best of us. It is a constant struggle."

Farhan nodded again, but he was still troubled. He knew that Allah's teachings were clear, and he didn't understand why his parents had to struggle to follow them. He turned to the Quran and the Hadith for guidance.

One day, while reading the Quran, he came across the verse, "Those who do not judge by what Allah has revealed are indeed the unbelievers, Quran 5:44" He remembered the words of Ibn Abbas, who had said that Whoever rejects what Allah has revealed, will have committed Kufr, and whoever accepts what Allah has revealed, but did not rule by it, is a Zalim (unjust) and a Fasiq (rebellious) and a sinner.

He realized that his parents were not unbelievers, but they were certainly being unjust and rebellious by not following Allah's teachings. He knew that he had to talk to them and help them see the error of their ways.

So he sat down with his parents and explained what he had learned. He reminded them of the importance of following Allah's teachings and how it was their duty as Muslims to do so. He showed them the examples of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace and blessings of Allah be upon Him) and the early Muslims, who had always judged by what Allah had revealed.

His parents listened and were moved by his words. They realized how severe the crime is and that how they had been setting a bad example for their children, and they vowed to do better. They started making an effort to follow Allah's teachings in their daily lives, and they encouraged Farhan and Safiyyah to do the same.

Slowly but surely, their family began to change. They started living their lives according to Allah's teachings, and they found peace and happiness in doing so. They knew that it was not an easy path, but they were willing to struggle to follow Allah's teachings and to set a good example for their children.

And so, the family of four continued to live in the heart of the bustling city, but they were no longer lost in the chaos. They had found a guiding light in Allah's teachings, and they were determined to follow it. Their home was filled with the sound of prayers and recitations of the Quran, and their hearts were filled with a sense of peace and purpose.
