3 GREAT Un-Cards to Add to Commander Decks!

Many casual Commander players tend to ignore the cards from the Un-sets, but they're missing out on some neat cards that pack a powerful punch! Here are three Un-cards (silver bordered or acorn stamped) that play great in Commander, as long as your play group will allow them! We'll be going over Trigger Happy, Sole Performer and Far Out!

Just wanted to clarify some FAQs:

First, none of the cards in this video are legal in Commander. They’re all acorn stamped cards, which are equivalent to silver bordered cards. However, if you have a Rule 0 conversation with your group and they okay it, no problem.

Second, Sole Performer can only be activated ONCE PER TURN! I got a few comments asking if it would go infinite with itself, so the answer is no. Luckily, we didn’t have a Nadu situation on our hands.

Last, I forgot how Roles worked when I flashed up the image of Gylwain. I was looking for white, modal Commanders that cared about enchantments, but only got told after the fact that you can only keep one of the Roles. Technically, you could triple trigger any Constellation or Eerie triggers, but that synergy probably wouldn’t be good enough to include Far Out for. Whoopsie, consider running Satsuki in that role instead!

Honestly Krarks Other Thumb needs to become black border. Dice rolling is an established black border mechanic now and a colorless way to reroll dice is a necessity. The same for As Luck Would Have It (I think is the name of the card) which is just the dice rolling equivalent of chance encounter (win the game for winning coin flips)

The five Unfinity partners are obvious picks, but the two I want to play with the most are Main Event Horizon (for a Morph deck) and Meet and Greet ‘Sisay’ (for a Bard Class deck).

"Ach! Hans, Run!" In my mind is a card that isn't even that bad by modern standards, it could totally be legal without much issue. 6 cost gruul enchantment that tutors a creature to the field then exiles them at end of turn? Honestly, there's cards which are legal that are more busted.

24 Attractions are legal in Commander and a friend of mine has 12 of them to chose from when he makes his 10 card Attraction deck for his Shelob Spider deck. Its so hilarious

I have a bunch of dice rolling uncards in my Mr. House deck one being the Sword of Dungeons and Dragons.
I have used the Split Screen card. Very good against mill strategies.

Clair De'Loon!!! It is great for an Azorius Token deck, and it adds win cons like Battle of Wits into commander!

One of my favorite Un cards that I'd add (and actually have a deck for) is Truss, Chief Engineer. Being able to change numbers on cards makes some really jank and bad cards suddenly good and fun to play with.

The only uncards i use are sticker givers. Stickers change the name of a permanent but arent a copiable value, so yenna redtooth regent can make as many copies of stickered permanents as you want.

AFAIK, [[Far Out]] will never be legalized unless they ban [[Outlaws’ Merriment]]

It has a triggered ability where the chosen mode creates a token with a specific stat line, and choosing more than one mode would result in the game rules breaking as it attempts to apply 2 mutually exclusive characteristic-defining effects to the same permanent.

Far out honestly doesn’t seem like it’s too far out. With riku reacting to modal spells, a card like far out where you choose that many modes plus one might be in the realm of possibility.

I use some un cards in one of my decks. I use gleemax, mox lotus, urza's fun house, the big top and city of ass. Gleemax is also a win condition in the deck since I can fling it at someone for a million damage and bring it back.
