Fun fact: Chaff does nothing post missile launch. It can throw off a missile if you chaff before the missile is launched, but it wont do anything against a Fox 1 missile if you chaff afterwards, even if your radar looks like it's stuck on the chaff.

First day of the patch when Fox-1's were added, I scored 19km (11/2 miles) kill with FGR and later F-104S, so even Aim-7E sometimes can do shots like that

Horribly slow missile though, it’s half the speed of the Dogfight E2, the smoke from the motor makes it VERY visible and the early PD on the J is easy to notch and break the lock of. Not like the Kai who will see you and kill you if you aren’t 100% perfectly horizontally notched

The only issue is that the AIM7F can be easily defeated since you can see the missile for 90% of its flight duration since the missile burns for so long. Its a niche missile.
