Hi,
I also have a Mesa Boogie MK3 but mine is Green Stripe.
The power amp part is equal in booth (blue and green) so in
Class A is 25W (not 15 like black, purple, red stripes) and SimulClass is 85W (not 75W like the other stripes) the green stripe was the biginning of mark 4.

to clarify, this is a 15W / 65W not an 85W

Not a bad video, shame the guitar is out of tune though. Love the sound of blue stripes.

They take 3 pedals. A lead, rhythm 2 and a eq reverb. You only have 2.

I think they usually ran the El 34 in the middle. But really they are run to cold so 4 6l6 sound better. I have one but seldom use it. Not my favorite amp

Did they make the mark III and IV concurrently? Because if not, it's from before the 90s. The Mark IV came out somewhere around 94

Your settings of the MKIII are all wrong check the manual!!! Sounds to thin.My MKIII would also blow you away with the master on 3.First knob set at 6 or 7 pulled thats a good setting, works good on all channels, thats the level when your signal comes through.Than check your lead sound, you will not need any pedals with V1 at 6-7.

If it's a blue stripe then it's 1989. I have a green stripe which the last of the Mark III's and overlapped the IV for a very short time in 1990.
