Don't feel bad, Abby. I'm 38 and have bought replacements for clothes I thought I lost only to find them buried deep in the closet, the trunk of my car, on the shelf above the dryer, etc. Definitely important to be organized.

My son designed a closet that I turned into a mini office. We took off the doors, removed the track on the floor and placed my desk inside. He then put in Elfa shelves above the desk. It came out great and allowed the room to have space for a double bed and a crib. Now that my grandson is out of the crib we removed it and now he has plenty of space to play when he comes over and I still have an office space.

I LOVE this closet design. We have had Elfa systems throughout our home for over a decade, including taking them from our old home to the new. They are incredibly durable! Also, that story w your neighbor was hilarious!

I completely cleaned out a couple of closets in my house last year and the system I came up with seems to be working because they’re pretty tidy to this day! But you gave me some ideas for drawer storage which I hadn’t considered before. 🤔 Thanks for the ideas. I’m a 🐝 so you can imagine most everything I’ve done so far is very visual. Lesser used items are okay for drawer storage but labels would be helpful. I laugh when your daughter gets excited about items she forgot she had because going through my closets in the past has been like opening up a treasure chest for me. 💎 🤣
