The Wilkes nursing program is a leader in educating and preparing professional nurses for advancing nursing practice and scholarship with meaningful contributions to clinical prevention, population health, and healthcare policy development.

- Our students had a 95% pass rate on the NCLEX, the exam required to become a registered nurse. That well exceeds both the national and Pennsylvania averages.

- Passan School of Nursing immerses students in a hands-on learning environment. Clinical experiences start in the sophomore year and continue five semesters, culminates with a senior practicum experience with a professional RN.

- Northeastern Pennsylvania’s only freestanding, named school of nursing, the Passan School offers bachelor’s, master’s, and both Ph.D. and DNP degrees, both on campus and online.

- The spacious Clinical Nursing Simulation Center provides hands-on experience, with state-of-the-art, lifelike, computer-controlled manikins like real patients, as well as other learning tools.

- Nursing students have nearly 100% job placement.
