Filling out the ECTS form can be confusing even when the university has already provided most of the instructions on the filling out of this curriculum analysis form already. You just have to show that you have studied these subjects one to one and for each subject you have to show the ECTS equivalence for the subjects that you have studied in your Bachelors. These kind of forms are not just relevant for TUHH but for TUM, Esslingen and many other universities.

TUHH has mentioned clearly that, you shouldn't enter a subject more than once in your ects, but in the above video Mathematics 1,2,3,4 has been taken thrice. Also, they had given that if you have to mention a subject in more than category, you should split the credits!!!

My university provides me only 176 credits in my bachelor's in India. Many universities ask for 210 ECTS . So how would I get admit to the universities for master's in Germany

ECTS general rule is 30 Credits per semester.
• 3 yrs bachelors means, (6 semesters X 30 ECTS = 180 ECTS). [ My case ]
• 3.5 yrs bachelors means, (7 semesters X 30 ECTS = 210 ECTS).
• 4 yrs bachelors means, (8 semesters X 30 ECTS = 240 ECTS).

However, My transcripts has 3 columns regarding Credits as (I've no clue which one to follow or the general ECTS rule above):
1. Subject Associated Credits → Eg: 2, 4, 1, 3, etc. Adds up to 169 Credits for all 6 semesters. How can I've less than 180 credits in 3 yrs bachelors?

2. Credit Points Earned. → Eg: 2, 4, 1, 3, etc. Also, adds up to 169 Credits. These numbers are always same as Subject Associated Credits.

3. Credit Points. → Eg: 15, 20, 24, 16, etc. ( 'Subject Associated Credits' multiplied with 'Subject Grade point scored', now this is yet another column that mentions this calculation on top of the column. And this column is also written next to each subject in mark-sheet. Finally this, adds up to a 992 Credits for all 6 semesters). [ Either I'm lucky with 992 Credits or just screwed with 169 Credits. ]

4. If I follow general ECTS rule, then in my 3 years of Bachelors for 6 semesters I've 30 Credit Points per Semester, that is 180 ECTS (6 semesters x 30 Credits per Semester).

HI Bharat. Very nice video summarizing the process in a crisp and efficient manner. Could you also please let me know what can be done if there is no proof of self-study hours in the syllabus of the bachelors degree? Can we assume and mention that in the table? Thanks!

I did my BA in Psychology and English from DU. The issue is that I'm applying for master's in Psychology related subject and they are calculating only the credits in Psychology. Can I make up for this difference by doing certificate courses in relevant subjects and combining the credits with my Bachelor's?

I have graduated from Mumbai university, it was 3 year graduation course.
1st year we had 3 subjects :- Biotechnology, Chemistry and Botany. Each had 2 papers and practical. 2 semisters conducted
2nd year we had 2 subjects :- Biotechnology and Chemistry. Each had 3 papers and practical. 2 semester conducted.
3rd year had only one subject :- Biotechnology with 5 papers and 3 practical exams. 2 semisters were conducted.

Shall I consider botany and chemistry also while calculating for ECTS as I am applying for MS biotechnology in LMU.

Thank you very much Bharat. This is what I have been asking everyone since last week whether the self study hours be manipulated or not. If TUHH's admission committee checks ECTS with the transcript credit points and if they ask for the proof of self study hours, then what can be done (bcz my bachelor's university doesn't give any certificate that gives information abt self study hours)?
