Not too long ago I responded to a survey form Microsoft. I swore up and down and left and right. Told them where to put their political correctness. I guess I should have told Microsoft sooner?

I know what happened in the company that I worked for. Five years ago the all female personnel department went woke. They started hiring everybody but a straight white man. Unfortunately many couldn’t pass the simple entry exam, so they dropped it as a requirement.
A year or so later, all but two had either quit because the work was too difficult, or were fired.
I had retired, and they were glad to get my non-DEI ass out of there.
Now they would love for me to work from home, no, don’t think so. 😂

In the late 1970’s we had EEO in our company. I was a promoted into an office full of women to fulfill the Men in Women’s jobs. I had to supervise 40 women, I had a great time. I used to move women who hated each other to be working partners and sat up front and did nothing. I used to go to Pike Place Market and smoke weed at lunch and zone out after lunch. After about a year of turmoil the management figured out it was time for me to leave and go work back in my position I was trained for. I wasn’t surprised but it was a fun year while it lasted.

If they fired the DEI team to improve their scores, they knew from the start on what basis were those particular people hired. Wow. That is also embarrassing for both the company and the DEI team. DEI team has a right to sue for the hiring agenda that left them fired! When people get hired, they believe they deserve the position. Nobody tells them, hey, you suck sort of, if times were different we'd never consider you for this position, but we'll hire you because you were born into a disadvantaged minority. People, that is embarrassing.

Interesting, if someone learns they weren't hired because those DEI team was hired, they can also sue. Companies think it's going to be easy to hire inappropriately, then to fire on a spot, to ignore and not hire people who are more qualified but do not fit the DEI formula? I hope life and lawsuits will show that's not so.

Just because the DEI department was supposedly removed, it doesn't mean those formally in it were all given pink-slips. Chances are most of them were moved to other departments, probably HR, which is in some ways worse. Also, is MS still dealing with those woke consulting firms like SBI, Black Girl Gamers, & similar? If so, the problem is merely external now, rather then internal & external.
