for the "easier method" how is it easy? how am i suppose to know many times 2 goes into 180 or even 7821?

In this video, it is to look for PRIME factors only. So the prime factors for 48 is 2x2x2x2x3.
16 is a factor of 48 but it is not a prime factor of 48.

Does this tactic work for prime factorizing small numbers? Does it happen to work when comparing between 2+ different numbers? If so, how? Thanks!

How this you go from dividing 2 into 90 then 2 into 45 and then just jump to 3 like that how did you know to do that ??? Why not just keep using 2 ?

Bro here in India, the easier method is more popular than the "Tree method" lmao
The easier method is called "prime factorization using division method"
I just came here to this video cuz i needed a faster way to compute primes than the one we get with the "easier method" lol

This doesn't make any sense to me; Where are you getting the squared numbers from? Why are they squared? Everything about prime factorization is confusing because there seems to be so little rhyme or reason to it. It's frustrating.

I'd say traditional is easier because you can pick whatever you want. They are basically the same thing.

Yeah but how are you going to know that 2 goes into 45 without doing a little bit of division like how you gonna know that on the top of your head see I think that’s the issue with your easier approach

This was great but it didn't work for my number. My number is 328 and I got stuck at 41. I think if I had a "method to this madness" I would understand what to do next. I am just plugging in random numbers now and none of them are breaking 41 down further.

didn't work for me with the number 48....it skipped the factor # 16 ....because 16×3 is 48
