Thanks so much Mr J Im homeschooling my child and the program she’s using said our answers were wrong because we did the factors in a different order. It confused us and made my child think she didn’t know what she was doing. But you cleared that up nicely by showing the two different ways to do it and adding, as long as it equals the same thing it’s correct. I was looking for a rule as far as what to use first and thought perhaps it had to be in a particular order, but couldn’t find one🤷🏽‍♀️ but we were doing it right after all. Now my daughter is confident that she does in fact understand Prim Factorizations, and now I can contact the program director to correct this problem and change her grade. Thanks!🙏
