i wore out my cassette of MYSTERY GIRL playing and replaying this song. It's truely one of the great "story" songs and when Roy hits the high note on "walk away" it still gives me chills.

Had a chance to see him live in Westbury NY before he died. I was in my early 20's, and after the 3rd song, I gave him a standing ovation after every song he performed. Amazing singer, amazing songs, probably the best concert I've ever seen and...if no one has ever seen a Black and White Night?...SEE IT!!! His back up band that night was fricking awesome

@GreatGarloo it's haunting and in a good way. I wouldn't mind being haunted by Roy as long as he was a singing ghost. He's my favorite singer of all time by far. He passed away when i was young and didn't really discover him until after he was gone. My dad cried when Roy died, I cry now never having gotten the chance to see him.

Next to the song She's a mystery girl this and She's a mystery girl are my favorite song EVER!!! There brilliant infact all of Roy Orbison (in the mystery girl albulm)songs are brilliant except the song Pretty Woman I hate that song Pretty Woman coz people only think thats the only song he made and I hate that song Pretty Woman coz of many reasons really!!
